Most BVM Jets utilize a "flex plate" system that the landing gear mounts to. These "flex plates" vary in material, from molded carbon fiber/nylon mix, to machined carbon fiber stock, and aluminum to give you a replaceable retract mount. This system has proven itself over the years to save holes in wings and/or broken fuselages in some cases.
