Scale Details, 2 Cell Booster Packs

SCALE DETAILS FOR YOUR ELECTRA JET

CAUTION: Do not apply to wing or stab skins until you have lots of practice. The skins are easy to dent. Warm the surface with a heat gun and use a soft balsa stick to apply. Start on the F/G fuse, than practice on the bottom of the wing/stab. Work under a critical light to check for wing skin impression. You may decide that the panels are not required on the wings/stabs.

Supplies Needed: Pro-Mark Sport Jet Nomenclature and Rub-on Panels: Light Gray - Medium Size.

Shown here are details added to the Camo Aggressor scheme Electra Jet. A few hours of hobby time really enhance the model.

MODIFICATION TO ACCEPT THE 2 CELL BOOSTER PACKS

  • Remove the plywood cross brace from the canopy hatch framework.  Trim the AFT end of the black vacuum formed cockpit deck forward.

  • Make 5/32” wide and 3/4” long slots in fuse deck 1.9” apart.  These will accept a 1/2” wide x 7” long strip of Velcro.

  • Make a 1/4” x 1/2” x 1 3/4” long balsa block that is sculptured a bit to fit on top of the inlet duct and against the fan mount ring. Trim the top of that ring flush with the balsa block.  Glue this block in place. Put a Zap-A-Gap finish on the balsa.

  • Apply adhesive back Velcro as shown.

  • The EVO30 2S 2P 6400 booster pack (for 12S operation) is retained by Velcro strips between the parts and the Velcro strap around it.

  • Use a BVM Power Plug 3-Way (Part # E1000-23) to connect the batteries in series.
