The tires are molded from a special rubber compound because cut foam tires just won't deliver the scale shape and resilience your jet needs, and BVM tires won't get flat spots when your model sits static. A high density outer surface encapsulates a lower density rubber core that provides a tire with great wear characteristics yet can absorb hard landing shock loads. The tires can't spin off because they are through bolted rim-to-rim in eight places. The wheels are precision machined from aluminum in one piece for maximum strength and accuracy with minimum weight. Precision ground axles and matching brass bushings provide wobble free high speed performance.

Individual Wheels Note: Nose wheels may be used as mains but will not accept brakes. Buy a spacer package for each nose or main (no brake) when purchased separately.

"BV" Brake - How it Works

US Patent #5,601,159

It's very simple, air pressure is injected into the "O"ring groove inside the "O"ring's inner diameter forcing it out against the wheels inner drum. Note: The pressure does not push the wheel outward against the retaining washer. Elasticity of the "O"ring releases the brake when air pressure is relaxed. Brake application uses only 1 to 2 psi of your retract actuation supply or you can add a small air tank to your model. This is a brake that is very tough to wear out - the BVM factory flying team hasn't been able to yet!
