Handling your Kerosene powered model is a lot less messy if you plug off the fuel system overflow vent.  You prevent the stinky spills in your vehicle and workshop.

But, if you take-off with the vent still plugged, your engine will starve for fuel and flame out, usually one or two minutes into the flight.  Unfortunately, this has happened to two customers recently.
