The EVF 5012 is a high performance unit that can operate with a variety of battery configurations,  The fan is driven by a Neu 1521 motor with the Castle Creations E.S.C. timing selected to "Low".  It is best to operate the 5012 with a Throttle-To-Throttle mix adjusted to conserve battery amperage.

The low setting will yield about 14# of thrust while the high setting will allow 16+ Lbs of thrust.  Note that these thrust readings are bellmouth inlet bench test measurements.  Installation losses will vary with the inlet and thrust tube configuration.

The most simple and weight efficient power source for the EVF 5012 are (2) EVO 25c 6s 1p 5000 m.a.h. Saddle CellsTM with a BVM Power Plug 2 connector.

This combination will allow an Electra to reach speeds in the 190 mph range and with a practiced flight profile and throttle use will allow 51/2 - 6 min flights consuming less than 80% of the battery capacity.

BVM Electra Jet, Maverick, Ultra Viper, Aggressor III, F-80, T-33, and F-16.
