Friends of BVM visit Florida
for flying and fun – January 2012

Sam DiMaio with sons Steve and Anthony traveled from
West Chester, Pa. to enjoy a week together in the
Florida sun and fly some model airplanes. Their
Suburban was packed with a number of models including
this BVM Electra with EVF 10S power. The DiMaio clan
are all great modelers and pilots. |

Brothers
James and Harold Little from Marshville, NC. have
enjoyed building and flying BVM Jets from the very early
days of Viojet Ducted Fan powered Sabre’s and T-33’s.
In recent years, they have converted some of those 20+
year old airframes to EVF power. This BVM MiG-15 ARF on
EVF ~3~ 12S power represents their latest hobby
project. It was assembled meticulously and absolutely
per the extensive BVM manual. Dustin validated the
details of the finished model, did a bit of radio
programming and then preformed the first test hop. The
JE “Pilot Link” feature allowed Harold to gain
proficiency on flying and landing approaches to the
point of confidence that he is safe with the beautiful
“Little” MiG.
Unfortunately, brother James could not make the
Florida trip because of family matters. We look forward
to seeing them and the MiG at a few events this season. |
