Up Electra T Order Form

For Turbine Power
For 12-15 Lb. Thrust Engines

The first flights on the Electra "T" were accomplished on 20 July 08 using a JetCat P-60 for power.

Of course, we liked it, but what is more important is that some other jet guys at the field were impressed.  The slow flight characteristics and ease of landing (due to the airfoil and big flaps) are what they thought was most impressive.

The take-off weight is 17 lbs. with 1.9 liters of fuel on board and 7 minutes later the landing weight is 131/2 lbs. making it very comfortable in the landing pattern.  It was a hot summer day with the ambient temperature at 97°F.

Our "T" sports the latest production paint scheme with Kawasaki green and blue on white with a splash of orange.  This scheme has been nicknamed "Greenie".  Of course, you can choose any Electra scheme for your "T" version.

Compact Operation

Shown here is a CO2 Fire Bottle, 21/2 gallon Jersey Modeler Fuel Can, a Robart hand operated Air Pump, a Starting Gas Tank, a JetCat GSU and your Transmitter.    If ease of transport and minimum effort at the model field is important to you, the JetCat P-60 powered Electra "T" is about as simple as a turbine operation can get.  All you need to go flying is shown here in a Honda "Fit".

The inside of the Electra "T" is totally engineered.  There are specially designed and laser cut mounting boards for all components.  The model balance is perfect without the need for ballast anywhere.

The all new and compact size "Air Blue" retracts worked flawlessly as well.  They are designed to fit into the same flex mounts of the Electra and Sabre Jet.  They will also retrofit into to early BVM Jets like the Maverick.  These units are light, strong, and made of the best American metals.  They have provisions for attaching strut doors and can accept Electra "wire" struts or BVM Duro Struts.  We opted to use the wire struts in the Electra "T" for simplicity, cost, and weight considerations.  They worked quite ok.
