The view from the cockpit on approach at the 11th Arizona Jet Rally. This 800ft x 80ft runway, and perfect weather offered all attendee's a great opportunity to enjoy their sport. This site also had a safety fence which is a great idea for every model field. It is a real treat for we easterners to fly our models against the panorama of desert catus, mountains and perfectly clear skies. All BVM jet kits have operated successfully at this Arizona site over the past few years. Potential customers achieve confidence in a product when they see it work at a model field similar to their own. |

This photo of the BVM pit area also shows the superb steel supported shade roof and steel work benches that the Mesa club has available. Certainly this is one of the top 10 model fields in the U.S.A. |

George Jones from Farmington, New Mexico has over 120 flights on his BVM .96 powered Bandit "V". This jet made its first flight at this meet in 1998. George loves to build and the quality of his model shows it. He is working on a MiG-15 now. |

This BVM Sabre jet utilized a turbine conversion kit (by Tom Robertson) and a power restricted RAM 750 with a smoke system. The combination was absolutely beautiful to watch while being piloted by Rob Lynch. Michael Chansu from San Jose, California is the proud owner who put the project together. Congratulations Michael. |

BVM's busiest California representative, Kent Nogy, makes it easier for us to attend this and other western meets. He packs all of the fuel, batteries and tools into his huge GMC van that are necessary to support the BVM team. Patty Generali, Rob Lynch, and Bob Violett arrived via America West airlines carrying 3 jet cases with some Bandits and a MiG. Kent demonstrated the J.R. sponsored Bandit and twin RAM powered Rafale. The Rafale paint job is yet to be completed. It should be in full colors by Florida Jets in March. |

Mark Taylor from Fresno, California duplicated the F-16 he used to fly in the Air National Guard. It is powered by a VIOFAN and BVM .91 and performed very well all weekend. |

The undisputed "Hot Shot" pilot at this event was Rob Lynch from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He is one "cool dude" on the sticks and put his Bandit right on the deck upside down or in knife edge flight repeatedly. BVM is very proud to have congenial reps like Rob. He found the time to help other BVM customers get airborne, program their radios, etc.. in between his many Bandit demo flights. |
