Why The EVF
? |
 |
Up until now, the
BVM EVF 4010's and 5612's systems provided the longest flight
time, highest speeds, and best overall flight performance.
Ohio E-Jets 2009 was testimony to the above statement
for those that were actually there to witness it.
But, because BVM is not often satisfied with the status
quo, we invested in an effort to make the best electric fans
even better.
A new center body design allows the installation of a Neutronics
19XX motor that is custom made for BVM; actually
some of the assembly is accomplished at BVM.
The first in the series of EVF
products debuted at Fl. Jets 2010 in the 12s
configuration. It runs extremely cool, consumes 9%
less amps, produces 1/2 lb. more thrust, and weighs 3
ounces less than our EVF 5612. When we combine the
EVF
with the latest ThunderPower 45c batteries, we gain
performance, and for the same flight profile, gain a
full 1 min. more flight time.
If you are at an
event and watch our products perform, we invite you
to time our flights and then observe the after flight
battery volts and temps. Should you want to
compare the BVM products to the others, be sure to
observe the same about the Brand X products.
BVM relies on the absolute best partners in this effort, Neutronics,
Castle Creations, and ThunderPower to bring you most
thrust per watt and the best long term support for your E.D.F. hobby.
A test stand run at Fl. Jets
demonstrated 19.5 Lbs. of thrust on 115 amps. The
gathering of E-Jets enthusiasts who watched the gages
were impressed.
Rob Lynch, Tim Redelman, Bob
Belluomini, and myself demonstrated multiple flights in
the 6-8 minute range, some Brand X products have a
difficult time staying airborne for 3 minutes.
They brag about thrust, but fail to tell prospective
customers that the 150-200 amps draw severely limits
flight time, produces excessive heat, and is really tough
on batteries.
The 10s version of the EVF
will be available May 2010. The economy of the 10
cell system coupled with its 17 Lbs. of thrust
should make it the most popular of the EVF series. |
