Bob,

I just wanted you to know how helpful Dan Avilla was last week.  Skeet Hunt and I had two BVM birds that we needed help with first trim flights.  Skeet's was a Bandit he recently purchased and mine was a new KingCat.  We were guests at Dan's home and he spent two days helping us set them up and doing the first trim flights.  Both Skeet and I really appreciated his time and hospitality.

Hi Patty!

Finally my ARF is ready J Not that awesome scheme but very visual on the sky. And I really need it – with a Merlin 140 it’s like a rocket!! But what a model… From the very first line up, smooth roll out till approach and landing – VERY VERY predictable and flies on rails!  Next must be the UB, just have to win the national lottery first JJJ

Patty here are some pics of my completed  BANDIT ARF, they were taken at Florida jets this year , Rob Lynch has done an outstanding job in building and training me on this TERRIFIC JET. I'm so happy and pleased about having chosen BVM TEAM. I'm still working on my AMA turbine waiver and will be ready to take my BANDIT to Mexico.  This jet is running  the new  JETCAT  P-80 SE  and is guided by a JR 12X radio , everything with excellent  performance.  Keep this great hobby as high as you have taken it ,even more.......and you will have so many happy flyers like my self.  Please wait for my next BVM project pictures hope to have It ready by the end of this year.

 Hello Patty,

Hope all goes well with everything over there. Am just to excited, flew my new Bandit Arf today, and wanted you guys to know it is just as wonderful as my Diamond Back one that lives in Florida, it is identical. I will get some nice photos done and send them over soon. It has the same setup all JR and an AMT Mercury (NL), that makes such a perfect match.  Jo and I are coming over in July to spend a week at Kentucky Jets, I will help Larry get it all sorted and share the driving. All for now.

Bob, Patty, and the BVM team,

Thank you very much for your support in getting our Bandit ARF project completed. You guys have been a great help and were always there to answer any questions we might have had as well as getting us needed parts quickly! You have, by far, the tightest run ship in the hobby industry!  We are proud to own a BVM jet and I know it is not going to be the last!  Our Bandit is built to BVM specs and has an evoJet Booster 90 installed. At 21 pounds of thrust she fly’s great!  I have attached a picture of me and my son after he made his maiden flight! This is now his primary jet and we hope to put many hours on her.  Thanks again and we hope to meet some of you someday at a jet event….

Hello Heather!
I am very pleased to inform you that we have another ARF Bandit supporter here in Sweden (Stockholm).  The owner/builder Max Ahlman is very happy after 25 flights with his Bandit.  Max has built the model in Singapore when he worked for Singapore Airlines as pilot on Boeing 747. The model is powered with a Jet Cat P-70.

Hello Patty,
Hope all is well with you. The attached photo of my Bandit ARF was taken today at the weekly RC meet in Cairo. I'm very proud of the plane and its high performance.  Feel I need to treat myself to a new toy though.  Will let you know as soon as $$$ are ready.

Best regards,
Gamal

The JetCat P-80SE has proven to be an excellent power plant for the Bandit ARF.  With an installed thrust at just under 20 Lbs., it provides excellent acceleration and yet doesn't stretch the upper 200 mph limit.

Richard Curry and Dustin demonstrated this combo with some practice flying at the R.C.A.C.F. "Jet Friendly" field in July '09.  A JR/DSM 12x was used for guidance control.

Jamie Cuff sent in these photos of Mark Simmonds Bandit ARF operating very successfully from a grass field in Redruth, Cornwall, England.  Mark says he is happy with this model and that it won't be his last BVM product.

Subject: Thanks, Bandit ARF Update...

 Bob,
I just wanted to let you, and others know that might be seeking a great grassfield capable jet that your Bandit ARF is the best grass field jet I have flown. It takes off with authority within 250 feet with a JetCat P-70 turbine installed in your bypass system. I am using the Pro-Link struts and I would recommend them to any Bandit pilot. I have 46 flights on my Bandit ARF now, and it is just getting better with each flight. It lands like a dream, and handles the grass runway with no issues, even saves wear on the tires!

The only thing I could want now, besides more flying time, is an ARF set of under wing fuel tanks to go with my Bandit ARF. So put me down, for a vote toward BVM making a set of ARF under wing dummy fuel tanks. Keep making the best jets. I know I will always want a BVM Bandit ARF in my fleet of jets.

Sincerely,
Jason Bauer
P.S. See you at Top Gun 2009.

Hi,
I bought the BARF through Joey Tamez, who helped me with the maiden flight and setup . Again it was one of the first ones out. It has flown on a P-70, P-80, and now that I’m really comfortable I use a T750+ (26lbs). The model paint High Viz paint scheme was my own design, and was painted by Les Curtis, who worked for BV for a while last year. On a Sunny day, the plane can be spotted from a mile away.  Plane now has more than 100 flights on it, and seems to fly better everytime.  The pilot is the #1 Bandido himself…..Capt Jack Sparrow (a favorite with local kids).

Bob, Patty and the BVM Team:  I have enclosed several photos of my Bandit ARF.  The airframe was finished and detailed by Vic Sebring from San Clemente, California.  The jet is powered by a Jet Cat P-70 with all JR radio equipment with a Spectrum 9100 2.4 receiver.   I added some checkerboards on the wing tips to aid visibility.  The jet flies fantastic and I logged my 50th flight this weekend.  Great design and very aerobatic!  All the best....Jon Vance, Team JR

This factory demo Bandit ARF is powered with a JetCat P-60.  It is light weight and fuel efficient and the generous landing flaps allow safe 40-45 mph slow flight as shown here.  Top end speed is still close to 200 mph.

V-LiteTM Wheels and LiPo batteries for the receiver and ECU complement the weight reduction.

Hi Patty,
I thought I would send you a few photos of my 'Hi Viz' Bandit for your gallery, JetCat P70 power with JR DSX9 guidance. Being a BVM product and a Bandit, there is not a lot that has not already been said about the superb qualities of this legendary model . . . . the incredibly smooth aerobatics, the stability and positive control through the speed range and very effective flaps for the slow and predictable landings the Bandit is renowned for. I have a 'Navy' Bobcat which will be test flown very soon and an Electra which will be fitted with your turbine conversion and I am sure I will be just as happy with them as I am with the Bandit.

Regards,
One very happy BVM owner!

Hello Patty

I would like to thank you and Dustin for your kind support and info for helping me out in the construction and test flight of the Bandit ARF, I have lodged about 10 flights on this airplane and it just awesome to fly, it is very smooth especially the take off and landings.

Thanks you all at BVM for your support.

Jeff Prosise escaped the lousy weather in Knoxville, Tennessee to enjoy a few days of Florida sunshine and jet flying.  We joined him at the R.C.A.C.F. to fly a variety of Turbine and EVF powered models.
Of particular interest this day was the maiden flight for a new JetCat P-120SX.  This all new, internal plug, Kero Starter performed flawlessly in the Bandit ARF.

It appears that the battery drain issue with earlier Kero Start engines has been alleviated.

Jeff powered the ECU system with a Duralite Lithium Ion 4300 m.a.h. battery and it looks like 6 flights are possible on a single charge.  Dustin offered a little coaching and got some stick time on 120SX and commented favorably on the throttle response.
Chris Keene and Dustin shared some flights on the BVM demo Bandit ARF.  This P-60 powered version surprises most observers with its high end performance and slow landing attributes.  The small engine, plus less fuel and lower residual thrust does offer slower approach and landing speeds.
Properly designed Inlets, Bypass, and Tailpipe keep installation losses to a minimum and offer superior high end speeds.  A simple test of this is to thrust test the installation with and without the Bypass cover installed.  Cutting holes in a BVM Bypass is not required or advised.

BVM,

Just want to inform you that the bandit ARF has been test flown today. I had 3 incredible flights with the P70. I can safely say that this is by far the easiest to land jet I have ever flown. I currently fly a Kingcat as well, but the Bandit ARF beats the KC hands down in ease of landing I was able to 3, 2 point landings with a sustained wheelie at the end of each landing. What a high!!!

This pic was taken this afternoon on my private airstrip built especially for RC.  Its 1100x45 feet of tarmac.

Finally, thank you for all your support for this airplane. Much appreciated. And once again....WHATTA PLANE!!!!!!!!!!

Bob,

I want to thank you for my Bandit ARF.   As a newcomer to Jet Aircraft, I decided that choosing a fully engineered and tested product with the support of a full team of professionals would make the experience of learning to fly jets as fun and rewarding as it could be.

I can honestly say that all of my expectations have been exceeded.  The plane flys flawlessly, the kit is so well engineered that assembly is a pleasure and the support that you, Patty, Dustin, Tom and Pat have provided to me has been really great.

I also have realized that the professional standard you have set carries over to your field reps.  I am fortunate to have gotten to know the two that are nearest to where I live, John Redman and Tim Redelman.  Both are terrific guys, unbelievably expert pilots and a true reflection of BVM leadership.  In particular, John has helped me assemble and fly my Bandit with patience, encouragement and skillful instruction.

I attached a picture of my plane even though I am not finished with the paint and graphics.

A happy customer,

Al Taylor

Raul David and Rodrigo Quevedo came from Guatemala to test fly Rodrigo's new Bandit ARF with the help of David Shuman at the RCACF flying field (Apopka, FL). The Bandit ARF is powered by a JetCat P-70 and uses a JR10X radio for guidance.

Luke Barnett and Dave Wilshere have been putting there Bandit ARF through a good bit of aerobatics and agree that the Bandit ARF is a pleasure to fly.
