I just wanted to
let you know that I finally completed 2 successful
flights on my Fury AFS Version yesterday. The plane was
bought almost 2 years ago but for the old Viofan 91 combo
which was converted to the EVF system . Having a short grass
strip pushed my adrenalin but everything went perfect.
Complete package with EVF 5612 12s TP6400, old style wheels
and brakes. The Fury performed very well even with no gear
doors which I want to retrofit now. The sound with the new
intake is just incredible .... I had a real big smile after
the first flight which just took 3500 mAh after 4 min of
flight. Second flight was 5:30 where I was much more
relaxed. I just can say I love the Fury the paint scheme and
the flying characteristics ....

Subject: EVF Sabre
Bob, Patty and
Staff,
Just a quick picture of my Sabre with a 5212 fan and TP 40c
12s batts. Mucho thrust. Took the 20 year old kit and did a
major up-grade. Now plug-in wings, beefed up tail, landing
gear plates etc. Brought back memories of pre- ARF days!
Lots of work but well worth it. Thanks for your support in
getting me updated parts.

Ary Figueira's EVF powered Sabre at a model field in
Brazil.

Former Marine "Uncle Joe" recently moved to Phoenix,
Arizona and enlisted the help of John Gerhardt to get his year long
project airborne. It flies with authority on Twin EVF 5012 units
and 12s 5000mah "Saddle CellsTM".

This first of its kind event, drew a lot of interest from participants and
modeler spectators. BVM graciously accepted an invitation to
participate in the noontime airshow with a change-up demonstration.
Bob Fiorenze flew his “Red
Hot” Electra, while B.V. simultaneously flew the Sabre ARF prototype – both
powered by Electric VioFans on 12s power. Flight Power 30c 6400 matched
cell batteries provided the umph.
The smoke equipped Ultra
Bandit guided by Dustin thrilled the crowd with high speed, low, knife edge
passes and extreme, almost cloud punching, vertical climbs. |

| The EVO 12s 6400 2p matched cell
battery set that Rob Lynch is holding now has 119 cycles in this Electra ARF
and is still going strong.
His choreographed aerobatic flight routine is 6 1/2
minutes long and the end of flight battery temps and volts are all in the
"normal" range.
Rob flies on Sundays and Wednesdays every week in the
Fort Lauderdale area. He is the busiest and best jet flyer we know! |

Rob Lynch also debuted his Ultra Bandit at
the RCACF field 15 Sept 08. He guides the JetCat P-180 powered machine
with a JR DSM 12X. All of the systems functioned flawlessly. |
| So much of Rob's flight routine is inverted
that perhaps the lettering on the cockpit rail is proper. |

Bob,
I thought I would send you a few pictures of my new EVF powered
AFS F-86 Sabre. It was flown for the first time two weeks ago and
flew great!
The
F-86 was a long term project and it was worth the wait. With the
simplicity of the EVF, I am glad I converted it to electric. I also
would like to thank BVM Field Rep Dave Malchione for all his help,
technical assistance, and performing the test flight. It has been a
great experience. I have already ordered an Electra Jet for my next
project. Hope to see you at a jet rally next year.
Thank you,
Mike Cramer |

Subject: New life to a 15 year old plane
Patty, Bob, &
Dustin
Just got back from the field here in Puerto Rico. I will tell you it
feels great giving new life to a 15 year old plane !
Wow, what a
performance ! My Maverick is a new plane. It flew great. I followed the
instructions and with the support of the BVM team you can only expect
great results.
I am in the process
of placing the Mav in the shipping box. I am going to WINIMAC ! Jets
over the Heartland with my new ELECTRIC JET ! Nothing but spectacular !
Gracias Amigo !

Here is the F-80 on the fly by at the Joe Nall '08 event.
We fly a few laps with the tanks on, then Jettison them for high speed
passes. |

Kent Nogy flew the brand new F-80 at Top Gun in the Pro
Am class. The 5 1/2 minute competition flights consumed one half of
the 6400 mah capacity. The power unit is the EVF
6215 with (3) Flight Power EVO 30c 5s 2p 6400 mah matched Saddle Cells.
The Misawa wing tip tanks are jettisoned early in the
flight for a scored maneuver. The airframe is then extremely
"slippery" and consumes minimum amperage to cruise between maneuvers.
It is amusing that one of the flight judges downgraded the Fast Fly-By
maneuver as being too fast.
The A.F.S. (Advanced Fabrication System) kit has been
extensively modified for EVF power.
Availability and price soon. |
