Dear Bob & Dustin, I wanted to send you a note about my new Skymaster A-10 Thunderbolt II. My new A-10 is truly an awesome jet!! It has such a great airframe it does everything well. Flies fast and yet can fly very slowly with “NO” bad tendencies. The A-10 has amazing detail and excellent scale features and appearance. The landing gear is some of the best I’ve ever seen in the industry. I’d like to thank Dustin for his thorough check of the jet and being an excellent test pilot. I will elaborate in a bit. He gave me some great tips on setting-up my first twin turbine. I really appreciated his time of reviewing all the safety concerns and procedure with operating a twin turbine safely. As everybody knows the first flight with any new jet is exciting and the A-10 was no different. Dustin took the A-10 off and trimmed things up and put the jet through its paces for about 6 min. Dustin decided to drop the gear for a gear pass and the worst case scenario the left main gear was hung up. He put some positive and negative “G’s” on the gear trying to free the gear and cycled it as well but to no avail. So, Dustin asked me if he could “Touch” it. I knew what he was asking and I said go for it. Later, I thought to myself did I just tell him to go for with a 50+ pound jet he has never landed before on this paved runway. I know Dustin’s is a good pilot but this maneuver would separate the boys from the men. Dustin made a great low angle approach touched the right main on the hard deck and the left popped out and went around the pattern and came back and landed the A-10 without a scratch. It was very impressive with a jet he had never flown before. I myself and 40 other club members had an opportunity to witness a true master at his craft…. I just wanted to say thanks to you and the entire BVM Team for making my first twin turbine jet experience truly a great one.
Best Regards,

From: Dustin Buescher On November 14th 2010, Greg Foushi earned his AMA Turbine waiver with this Viper Jet 2m. I had the honors of performing the test flight, then the second flight was all Greg’s. Greg powered this fine model with a JetCat P-80 SE converted to Kero start. Greg reports that the aircraft flies great and is easy to land. Furthermore, the Viper Jet 2m is Greg’s first jet, I am sure it won’t be his last! Congrats Greg from everyone at BVM and Skymaster! From: Gonzalo Martinez The more I fly my Viper
